Don’t miss the Artvamp/Benzfilm Production NICE BOMBS premiering on the Sundance Channel this Wednesday at 6:30PM EST/PST (5:30PM CST)!

Currently in pre-production, this Artvamp documentary directed by Kristie Alshaibi is about the relationship between molester and molested, as experienced by a sex worker and the father who sexually abused her as a girl. Through animation, interviews, educational films, and home movies the project will reach beyond mainstream sensationalism surrounding pedophilia and address the surrounding issues with frankness, and compassion.

Usama Alshaibi began shooting in September 2007 for a new docu-fiction about finding the Middle East in the heart of the Midwest. Nice Bombs, the Artvamp, and Benzfilm Group documentary, directed by Usama Alshaibi, enjoyed a sold out premiere at the Music Box Theater in August 2006, as a part of the Chicago Underground Film Festival.

It is due to be released this summer at selected theaters around the U.S. Keep an eye open for future announcements.

Artvamp has teamed up with Chicago’s legendary glam rocker, Bobby Conn, to produce a series of videos for his newest CD release “King For a Day.”
